STAR WARS LEGION – BATTLE REPORT: LOOK, SIR – DROIDS!
This is something new here, but we are trying the new Skirmish game mode any playing doing a battle report based. What Justin (Galactic Empire) and myself (Separatist Alliance) did was write down our thoughts at the beginning of each of the 5 rounds. Below you will find the army builds for each of us, the scenario we played and some pictures as we played. Note: I do have an extra droid in each of my armies as I didn’t realize that the 7th droid is an extra 6 points. With this in mind is would be playing 518 points.

Not knowing where the droids were going I wanted to ensure I had as many orders issued without negative repercussions so I could move them out fast. The Droidekas and Grevious are the things I need to avoid or focus on, splitting between the two will just get me killed.
Command Card : Assualt
My main goal is to get troops close to objectives and sit on them. I want to get the 3 main groups up the middle, with one of them moving up to take the top Right (in the building and hard to see in this picture) objective as they go. I will use the Droidekas to provide supportfor that group. The 4th group i’m going to run along the bottom for the bottom left objective using General Grievous to scare anyone away / support
Command Card : Push
Grievous is moving towards the right flank, I’ll focus there; If I delay Vader until after Grievous using Implacable I can get the double activation without having to worry about the Jedi Hunter ability for a turn.

STAY ON TARGET! Lets get in with General Grievous, I want him to be the one to bring the pain. Push forward and hold with everything else! The extra suppress counters from the Droidekas is starting to hurt his action economy!

If I can go first and give Vader the activation I can attempt to take Grievous out and be in a better position. The Sheer number of dice thrown my way by the droids are cutting down units but without Grievous I can then focus on the Droidekas.

Not so Roger Roger. Using the command card to hit Vader and run, he is slow so only his Saber throw should be in range. Everything else fire for effect as best you can!

Supreme Commander ensured Grievous still lives, I need to kill him this turn. Last turn so I’m going to Clamber over the terrain to try and take a single objective.

Hard fought, and really lost due to the suppression and a few wrong choices in the mid game (should have continued to push for the top right objective). Learned a lot about the game and look forward to my next battle!
